I don't see any problems with that. Now for the good stuff. When I was looking at this guide rod instead of the standard tungsten, the main question I had was how hard it is compared to the standard tungsten. So I use an extended non-captive for 34 Gen 5. A standard extended non-captive with a 13# spring weighs 2 oz. The PURE extended untrapped with a 13# spring weighs 3.6 oz. Yes you can tell the difference between the 2. Just so you know the weight of the guide rod if you use a 13# spring it can cause it not to lock on the pressure check. I don't see it causing a problem in normal operation, but if I hold the gun vertically and pull the slide back just enough to lock. It will not return to the locked state. A simple solution is a heavier spring. I use this setup in the USPSA carry scope. I have SRO on the slide which affects the weight.

Stock looks like a cheap joke compared to this because of the huge weight difference.
