glock 34 tungsten guide rod

Glock 34 Tungsten Guide Rod - Here is the DOPE on the "Reduced Power Tungsten Guide". The spring weight is a little lighter, remember not to be too light or the gun will not work properly.

The weight of the tungsten guide assembly is 31.3 grams (1.10 oz.). Equal 2 - 165 grain .40 S & W cartridges. OR hair less than 3 - 115 grain 9mm cartridges.

OEM rod weight is 12.2 grams (.43 oz.). Same 9mm JHP cartridges from 1 - 124 grains.

Double Diamond Extended Tungsten Guide Rod

I got this "G43 Reduced Power Tungsten Guide" for my G48. The G48 is already 2 oz heavier than the G43X, and all of those 2 oz are in the barrel of the gun. So I don't really need the extra weight.

I bought it because the OEM guide looked so flimsy and mine looked like it was bent at the end. This is solid and three times heavier. I chose the reduced force spring because I am already 67 years old and plan to have this gun for the rest of my life.

Works great, G48 was already easier to rack than my S&W Shield 9, 2.0 (not EZ), now even easier than it was. Let me first start by saying that I haven't activated it since I installed it. I don't see any problems with that. Now for the good stuff. When I was looking at this guide rod instead of the standard tungsten, the main question I had was how hard it is compared to the standard tungsten. So I use an extended non-captive for 34 Gen 5. A standard extended non-captive with a 13# spring weighs 2 oz. The PURE extended untrapped with a 13# spring weighs 3.6 oz. Yes you can tell the difference between the 2. Just so you know the weight of the guide rod if you use a 13# spring it can cause it not to lock on the pressure check. I don't see it causing a problem in normal operation, but if I hold the gun vertically and pull the slide back just enough to lock. It will not return to the locked state. A simple solution is a heavier spring. I use this setup in the USPSA carry scope. I have SRO on the slide which affects the weight.

Stock looks like a cheap joke compared to this because of the huge weight difference. Showcase improved look and feel over stock with this impressive add-on weight in shiny metal that beats the plastic bag in terms of looks! I've had a few ovens, but only when a kid shot it, which is more likely due to a weak wrist, because it hasn't happened to me. I am very happy with this upgrade and recommend it!

5 stars. Best guide and spring I could buy. Super super fast delivery time. All I ask is when will this be available on the 21st?

I bought an 18lb catch for my G23 G5 (brand new, no shots fired). I got my (first) Glock yesterday, got half of my upgrade order and today...came home, put the beaver tail on and installed the guide rod. Reassemble and test it on the rack. The slide does not travel all the way, stopping about a quarter of an inch before the end of the barrel. 4 stars because I don't know if it's because of the strong spring. If I pick it up and let it fly back it will close, but under a normal/standard mount I have to close it with my thumb from the back of the slide.

The item arrived, fits perfectly on the 34.4. Caught with a 13# spring it weighs 2.7 ounces. I got a 34.4[ frame at 8.3 ounces with tungsten putty and shot. The guide is the perfect balance with that. Good weight and balance, I'm going to the range to see how it works. The gun runs at 30 ounces.

Installed Pure Tungsten Guide Ros (pictured) with 13# spring and GL34, Gen 5. No optics. Great addition to the weight and like other reviewers when checking the pressure make sure it goes back to the battery as the 13# spring is light... Using suppressor elevation sights in case I mount an optic later and a timney Alpha Competition Trigger…. Game changer.

Glock 34 Gen 5 Boss 3 Adjustable Settings Recoil Reduction Spring Rod By Dpm Systems

(installed in Glock G19/G5/MOS w/ Holosun 508T). Huge difference in barrel lift, recoil feel, target reacquisition and I have never had a cycling problem of any kind so far (with 115grn / 150grn ammo). I now have tungsten guides in my firearm

After reading one of the reviews I was afraid this wouldn't fit, but it fits my G19 Gen 5 perfectly.
